Once upon a time, there was a band called Love Life. They were a melodic metal / hard rock band that released an album on the Blonde Vinyl label. Then, after the label tanked, they changed their name to Fear Not, signed on to Word, Inc.’s Pakaderm label, and released another album of heavy melodic metal / hard rock. This is actually a pretty good release, full of slick (some would say overproduced) heaviness, thick and hooky guitars and tight melodies you can bounce a quarter off of. There is the pre-requisite power ballad at the end (“Take Hold”), otherwise songs like “Give It Up”, “We Have A God”, “Money Money” and “Mad World” will appeal to fans of old hair-metal era Guardian, Bang Tango and Warrant…
