Guardian - Bottle Rocket
GUARDIAN
Bottle Rocket
Word Records
1997

Guardian’s final studio release is a logical continuation of the more modern rock sound they had on their previous album, Buzz. Once again produced by Steve Taylor, the music on Bottle Rocket is actually pretty decent, if you happen to enjoy this kind of music. The production is good, the music is well-crafted, and the lyrics are witty without being cheesy. When I’m in a more chill-out mood, I can get into this. It’s rare, but yeah, I do enjoy some modern rock once in a great while. Like with Buzz, though, I can understand why many old school Guardian fans don’t like Bottle Rocket. Eh, that was the 1990s for you.
