Guardian - Swing Swang Swung
GUARDIAN
Swing Swang Swung
Myrrh
1994

After three albums of southern-fried hard rock / metal, Guardian really threw everyone for a loop with the all-acoustic and folk release Swing Swang Swung. I like this. Sure, I have to be in a certain mood to listen, but really the boys prove that they can do acoustic stuff just as well as electric stuff. And, Swing Swang Swung isn’t just a collection of their classic material redone acoustically; this is a collection of original material (although I’m wondering if “Preacher And The Bear” is a traditional southern folk song). Not bad for an acoustic album…
