Majestic Serenity
Retroactive Records

Good old fashioned classic power metal, heavy and beefy. Think Metal Church, or Sacred Warrior with less keyboards and a heavier guitar crunch and raw attitude and you’ll get the idea. This full-length album was originally released in 1994 on the Lightshine label, right before the band originally broke up. Now, since they’ve reformed in 2002, this little metal gem was given the ol’ spit-n-polish by Retroactive Records, with better remastering and new artwork as well as having the entire 4-song Rebel Of Reason demo from 1990 as bonus tracks. This is a must-have for any fan of the HEAVY METAL that hearkens back to the days of Saint, and Intense Record’s hayday. The metal is raw, the riffs are thick, and Tom Denlinger’s vocals are top notch. The lyrics are bold and honest. The production still seems a bit thin at times, but trust me when I say that I’ve heard waaaaaaaaay worse. Mind you, I never heard the original version, but this one suits me just fine. Highly recommended…
